The congregation has an opportunity to help those in need by being involved in a few activities.

One way is to serve the local Foundation Dinners one Monday every other month.

Another opportunity is through serving in the group, LAMBs.  LAMBs stands for “Lutherans Assembling Mercy Blankets.”  The members of this group make blankets for our local Pregnancy Decision Health Center.  More blankets were recently consecrated and will be given to the PDHC, and Lutherans for Life.

Another opportunity is Operation Barnabas!

WHAT IS OPERATION BARNABASOB is the LCMS’ network of care to our nation’s military members, families and veterans.  We reach out to all branches of the military with a special emphasis on our Reserve members and their families.  Congregations throughout our LCMS have OB Units.  Emanuel has one!  We want to support and appreciate the vets in our own congregation.  We want to reach out beyond our walls!  We realize that there are many Vet Organizations that we can’t and do not want to duplicate.  Unique to us is that we are motivated by the love of our Savior Jesus Christ and use His holy Word to give witness of His love to Active Duty and Vets through our words and deeds.  YOU are reminded that any member of Emanuel is invited to OB events!  Come enjoy and support!  And remember: “Thank a Vet!”  Via computer google LCMS Operation Barnabas and take a look at their monthly Newsletter titled WARNING ORDER: OB.
